The Massachusetts State House - Boston, MA

A multi-function building including government bodies and legislative offices as well as historic artifacts, and important art and sculpture. The Massachusetts State House is a major tourist destination and part of Boston’s famous Freedom Trail.

The building houses the Massachusetts General Court (House of Representatives Chamber, Senate Chamber) and offices of the Governor and legislators. The building was designed by Charles Bulfinch and completed in 1798 with later expansions. The Massachusetts State House Art Collection and historic exhibits are displayed in Doric Hall, Bartlett Hall, Nurses Hall, Memorial Hall, Great Hall, and elsewhere throughout the State House.
